The name Farnito is derived from a type of oak tree known as Farna found in the vicinity of the vineyards. Carpineto produces Farnito Vinsanto del Chianti in only the finest vintages. The aromatics are complex opening with jammy stone fruit notes followed by hints of walnut and subtle floral nuances. Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes are dried for a period of time prior to vinification in chestnut and oak barrels that lasts more than a decade this dessert wine has a long persistent finish defined by apricot peach and balsamic flavors.
