2018 Chateau Haut-Marbuzet Saint-Estephe

Haut Marbuzet has a large amount of Merlot and it makes up 55% of the blend this year. Blue clay in the soils here mean that the grapes rarely get stressed by heat or drought. This is a lovely spicy grapey wine with aromas of plums mulberries and sloes. It is joyous quite exuberant and open with great life and a touch of exotic fruit on the attack. Pretty and fresh with a long and spicy finish.
