2016 Hestan Meyer Vineyards Cabernet In the glass the wine displays a nearly opaque purple-ruby hue. On the nose, there are aromas of black currant, blackberry cassis anise, sweet and sour plum with a hint of black and red licorice. The palate opens with ripe plum, graham and brown sugar with blackberries and white pepper notes. The wine is balanced with soft tannins and a med long finish. Add to that it’s thrilling purity and length, and this is a top-notch, world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from Hestan. Drink it over the next 15-25 years. Pretty blackcurrants and blueberries on the nose. Full body, round and silky tannins and a gorgeous, flavorful finish with lots of dark fruit and intensity in the aftertaste.
