Switchback Ridge produces handcrafted estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Sirah sourced exclusively from the Peterson Family Vineyard in Calistoga, Napa Valley. The Peterson family has owned this vineyard all the way back to 1914 and Switchback started in 1999. Winemaking legend and family friend Bob Foley, Pride and Hourgass, helped get the winery to its pinnacle status.  Now Cabernet Super Star Thomas Rivers Brown is winemaker. Thomas has mode more 100pts Napa Cabs in the last ten years than any other winemaker. He makes wines at some of the finest cult producers, the most famous being Schrader. Switchback’s Cabs have got huge press as high as 98pts by Parker. Since 2012 they stopped getting their wines rated as they sell out and don’t need to.
