2018 Angels & Cowboys Proprietary Red The deep purple/garnet robe tempts the eye and entices to a nose of brandied cherries and mocha. The palate opens with a tangle of bright briar fruit, lavish hibiscus, luscious honey-berry black fig, and velvety plum. Spicy cola and cardamom add intricate notes and lead to a refined mineral/graphite streak (courtesy of the volcanic soils of the Alexander Valley) that gives this 2018 vintage wine dimension and depth. The finish is firm and charged with fine tannins and a sweet velvety earth note that creates a beautifully balanced tension with the abundant fruit.

91 James Suckling: A fun blend with lots of character, delivering ripe fruit, but at the same time some cedar, bark, tea and vanilla undertones. It’s full-bodied, but relatively balanced and polished. Zinfandel, petite sirah, syrah, grenache, carignan and merlot. Drink now.

Angels & Cowboys are crafted with fruit sourced from some of Sonoma County’s most prestigious growers in Carneros, Russian River Valley, and Dry Creek Valley.

The winemaking team draws on traditional as well as progressive winemaking methods to achieve our standout style of blends.

Sonoma County

Home to a diverse array of smaller AVAs with varied microclimates and soil types, Sonoma County has something for every wine lover. Physically twice as large as Napa Valley, the region only produces about half the amount of wine but boasts both tremendous quality and variety. With its laid-back atmosphere and down-to-earth attitude, the wineries of Sonoma are appreciated by wine tourists for their friendliness and approachability. The entire county intends to become a 100% sustainable winegrowing region by 2019.
