2018 Massolino Barolo This 2018 Barolo benefits from being a blend of top-class vineyards such as Vignarionda, Margheria, Parafada and Parussi in Castiglione Falletto.Lustrous mid ruby. Displays the intense fragrance so typical of the 2018 vintage and with plenty of concentration underneath. Supple fruit layered with crunchy tannins and ripe, appetising acidity. Brothers Roberto and Franco Massolino make some of the greatest Barolo I have ever tasted. I love going to Enzo’s,  Arthur Ave in the Bronx, the foods exquisite and they have some great cellared Massolino Barolo’s that have blown my mind over the years. Huge scores and top producer, the 2018 Massolino Barolo has received excellent press  by no less than 4 top critics. Their wines come from Serralunga, one of the sweet spots of Barolo that makes some of the finest wines.  Massolino is a treasure. They’re one of the few wineries that can say they have almost thirty wines on Wine Spectator’s annual ‘Top 100 Wines of the Year’ list, including last year’s vintage, the 2016 which was # 7 on the Top 100. As you could imagine, that made getting an allocation this year infinitely more difficult. Everybody wants this wine and our price is strong!!
