2018 Paitin Barbaresco Serraboella
2018 Paitin Barbaresco Serraboella This wine draws its fruit from across the Serraboella vineyard in Neive with vines of various ages. The 2018 Barbaresco Serraboella has a broad reach, thanks to its balanced aromas of wild berry, dried cherry, crushed roses and violets. The wine spreads cleanly over the palate, thanks to the extra volume offered by its earthy and delicately mineral flavors. Like other releases from Paitin, the standout feature here is the silky nature of the mouthfeel.
The five ‘Bs’ from Europe make up the most exclusive, collected and most expensive wines in the world. They are Bordeaux; Burgundy; Brunello; Barolo and Barbaresco. Today we I focus on some of the greatest Barbaresco made today that we are offering and special low prices. These are some of my all-time favorite wines from Piedmont. If you love Barolo, you will love Barbaresco which tend to be more complex with longer finishes. Wines that have spectacular complexity, depth and length. The winery is Paitin which makes some of the finest examples of Barbaresco I have ever tasted and are world famous and collected by many. The history of Paitin began in 1796 when Benedetto Elia bought this estate with its wine cellar and vineyards. his son Guiseppe enlarged the vineyards and later bought the underground cellars, which date to the 1400s. They have been exporting wine since 1898 and in 1893 they have been making the Barbaresco del Sori Paitin.
