2018 Wolf’s Head Vineyard Cabernet
2018 Wolf’s Head Vineyard Cabernet In the nose sweet, dark cherries, blackberries and cassis with hints of tobacco. Dark cherries and black currants dominate the mid-palate and carry through into the long finish with some cedar notes. This wine shows great fruit extraction and a characteristically long finish that leaves one wanting more. Winemaker

Estate Notes
This is an insane Cab at a great price. A massively rich, opulent cab with incredible concentration. Wolf’s Head Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Calistoga region (home to greats like Venge; Frank Family and Larkmead) located in the northern part of Napa Valley, home to some of the biggest, boldest wines in the Napa region. The vines are planted in a rich volcanic red soil and the high daytime and cool night time temperatures provide for intense colors, rich flavors, a touch of acidity and a ton of tannic structure in the grapes.
The brothers Woodbridge are making some of the greatest Napa Cabs. Cameron Woodbridge learned how to make wine working alongside his brother, Jayson Woodbridge, at Hundred Acre, 100pt Parker wines, some of the biggest and densest Cabs ever made that sell for $300 to $1000 a bottle. Cameron worked alongside Jayson and Philippe Melka, who consulted for Hundred Acre at the time, starting in 2005. He honed his skills and broke out on his own to make a comparably opulent, hedonistic, high-scoring Cabernet. Cameron made this great Cab, this glorious monster. The 2018 Wolf’s Head Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has spectacular concentration and opulence with tannins that are superbly integrated, resulting in a velvety soft rich mouthfeel that seemless on the finish, all silk and satin. What a wine! Again I have tasted loads of Napa Cabs that are double this wines price that can’t touch this wine. Great Fall drinking does not get better. Enjoy!
