2019 Ca’ del Baio Autinbej Barbaresco DOCG

2019 Ca’ del Baio Autinbej Barbaresco DOCG is a deep garnet red with reflections of old pink. The nose is an intense, fruity aroma reminiscent of raspberries, jam, and violets that give an ethereal feeling accompanied by sweet spicy notes and hints of cocoa. In the mouth, Autinbej is warm, long, persistent and slightly tannic with an aftertaste of fruity notes.

You can find the elegant, striking wines of Barbaresco in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. These wines are composed of Nebbiolo, the region’s premier grape. Barbaresco wines are generally a light, reddish-orange in color, but they are not light on flavor. Their high acidity and tannins benefit from a couple of years aging, after which these wines reveal invigorating aromas of tart cranberries and cherries, cardamom, earth, and spices. For four generations the Ca’ del Baio company has been a family business, as is tradition in the Langhe. From father to son, the Grassos have kept their vineyards, almost a single body that surrounds the farmhouse, integrated over time with marriages and acquisitions.Today it is Giulio and Luciana, together with their daughters Paola, Valentina and Federica, who manage the various company sectors with passion and competence, from agronomic care to the vinification of the grapes, from welcoming them in the cellar to marketing the wines.
