2019 Girard Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML
2019 Girard Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML An intense nose with lots of ripe black and blue fruit, vanilla, licorice and a touch of leafiness. Full-bodied and dry with firm tannins and delicious fruit. Creamy and succulent with a touch of minerality. Long chocolatey finish. Light austerity at the end that makes it balanced and fresh. Better in a year or two. 94pts Suckling
Robust bramble fruit and tart cherry aromas mingle with savory spices, and milk chocolate and develop into blue fruit and cigar box spices as they coat the palate. Layers of raspberry jam, dusty minerality and vanilla lead to a powerful finish. Winemaker.

A great Napa Cab offering serious quality at a killer price Girard Winery was started by started by Steve Girard in 1975 and was sold to Vintner Pat Roney in 2000. Girard is one of Napa’s great houses and they make to date one of the most consistent, undervalued Napa Cabs out there. Girard Winery produced sought-after wines that were enjoyed at state dinners and taken by presidents to heads of state as gifts. Julia Child even selected the winery for one of her events. This is one of the original wineries in Napa and today the wines are made by Marco Di Giulio and Glen Hugo. Hugo comes from a Restaurant back ground. Made wine at Provenance for Napa legend Tom Rinaldi and has been making wine at Girard for the last ten years, working his way up. Marco DiGiulio consults and is a Napa great making wines like Lokoya; Hidden Ridge, Rubissow and Pine Ridge.
