2019 Provenance Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Aged predominantly in stainless steel, this includes tiny percentages of Sémillon and Muscat. Melon, metal and vanilla flavors accent the creamy opulence of a big and robustly ripe style, finishing in a snap of anise.

The geology and vastly different soils of Napa Valley give Provence the opportunity to showcase the distinctively different aromas and flavors that come from the provenance (source of origin) of our wines at Provenance Vineyards.

Our goal is to highlight the individuality of Napa Valley’s best vineyards and growing regions. We select top vineyards and gently guide the grapes into wine, striving to bring out the personality, complexity and uniqueness of each vineyard and vintage.

The famous origin story. Originally planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, but pulled out in 2003 without our investors’ permission, this Rutherford vineyard produces mouthwateringly tropical Sauvignon Blanc. Surrounded by Cabernet vineyards, it is a Napa Valley rarity.

Star Vineyard is tucked quietly behind the Rutherford Grill restaurant in the heart of the Rutherford American Viticultural Area (AVA). This Iconic vineyard was planted over 60 years ago and is extremely low yielding, resulting in small concentrated berries.

White Wine

The white wines that are made in Central Italy are not flashy or famous, but they can certainly be delicious. This area is known for making clean, light, white wines that are refreshing. You will not find many famous grapes grown in this region, but you will find some great values.

Italian white wines can be very frustrating and confusing. They do not make many wines from grapes that most people are familiar with. However, some of the local grapes that are used can make wines that are elegant, refreshing, and fun.

A lot of the really great white wines from Central Italy are going to be simple and light. They do not have a ton of strong fruit flavors, but can often produce subtly beautiful flavors of tart stone fruits, white flowers, and often almonds. Keep your eyes open for the underrated wines of Verdicchio di Matelica or Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi.
