2020 Eddy Morey Pernand Vergelesses Rouge As with all the House of Morey wines, this wine comes from several small South and East facing plots called Climats, where all pruning, picking, sorting and vinification is performed by hand.

My Notes:  This 100% Pinot Noir from this “passionate little winegrower” is dark ruby in color with cassis, raspberry and floral notes on the nose. On the palate the silky texture is medium bodied with a perfect balance of dark and light berries, hints of mocha and soft tannins.  This boutique Burgundy is the perfect marriage with holiday fare such as lamb, ham, pork, chicken and turkey.  Enjoy now or cellar through 2025.

Burgundy prices are rising each month. The world demand for these elite wines has increased exponentially.  My challenge is to find exceptional wines from boutique growers at approachable prices. The House of Morey fits that profile.
