2021 Chateau du Carrubier Cotes de Provence Cuvee Ingenue Rose, From,France
No summer afternoon is complete without a little bit of the pale pink/orange wines from Provence, France.
These light and crisp roses have just the slightest touches of bright berry flavors and can complement a meal perfectly or be delightful on their own.The dry, refreshing, pink wines of Provence may not be complicated or heady, but they are certainly lovely. These brightly flavored, yet pale colored wines are full of crisp acidity with light touches of tart red berries and citrus fruit.
These wines may not be serious, but you can’t drink serious wines all of the time! Current trends are making these wines ridiculously popular, and for good reason. They are the perfect summer wine and can make any light afternoon meal even better with their liveliness and pretty fruit. These are much lighter than most California roses, but are typically much fresher and sharper.
The Domaine du Carrubier, is in La Londe Les Maures (Var), it has been a family estate since 1974. It extends on about 88 hectares, 25 of which grow fully classified Appellation d’Origine Protégée “Côtes de Provence” vines, which nest close to the sea and the Maures hillsides: they very much benefit from this exceptional location.
Since it has been in the family, the Domaine du Carrubier has been run with great attention based on the integrated viticulture approach, taking good care of the vines and the environment. The use of the most recent equipment together with a strict respect of traditional techniques of culture and wine-making can be found in the Domaine du Carrubier. Grape harvest is done entirely by hand.
All year around, the “Château du Carrubier” wines are managed by our Oenologist, Mr. Gilles Baude.
