2021 Domaine de la Croix Touraine The wine is dry, round and supple, with a beautiful refreshing acidity. It gives off notes of ripe fruits, peaches and pink grapefruit… On the palate, it gives immediate pleasure and has lovely weight, with a touch of minerality to finish.

I love Sancerre but they have become increasingly harder to get and prices keep rising. I have the answer! A neighboring Appellation to Sancerre is Touraine. It sits on the same Kimmeridgian marl bedrock that has made the wines the Sauvignon Blanc’s of Sancerre so famous and so brilliant but because Touraine is not as well known, you can get a world class wine from Sauvignon Blanc’s from the Touraine  at half the price of Sancerre. What would you prefer??.

I have found an incredible Touraine from Bruno Lafond from the famous white wine producers Comte Lafond. From the Burgundy to the Loire Comte Lafond is famous for the white wines they produce.

The wine is the 2021 Domaine de la Croix Touraine  that comes from the terroir in Touraine which is the same as Sancerre. Because of scarcity of Sancerre and the greatness of this producer. At this time we only have a one time small allocation of the wine. This wine will sell out fast.
