2021 Reyneke Organic Vinehugger White Chenin Blanc Apricot and white peach are apparent on the nose, with notes of mandarin peel and hints of honey-comb that follow after. The palate is fresh and vibrant showing flavors of orange zest, and some nutty flavors.
About the producer
In 1988, the Reyneke family bought the farm Uitzicht, a 35 ha farm on the ridge of the Polkadraai Hills, with spectacular views of Stellenbosch. Contemporaneously, Johan Reyneke began the lengthy process of the conversion from conventional farming to organic practices to a method of farming which was in accordance with biodynamic principles. On January 1, 2007, Reyneke wines was certified by Debio (Norway) and IFOAM (Europe). Reyneke was the first farm in South Africa to achieve certification by Demeter International, the largest, and arguably, the most widely acknowledged biodynamic accreditation body in the world.
