2022 Henry Lagarde Malbec Organic 750ML Henry Lagarde Malbec is an intense violet red. Aromas of ripe red fruits and jams. Soft notes of vanilla, chocolate and smokey scents. Balanced with good structure.
This Malbec is quite impressive for its humble price point. An intense ruby hue beckons you to take in expressive aromas of flowers, red fruits, and fresh herbs. On the palate you will find black raspberries, red currants and cherries of both ripe and jammy nature. It is organically grown and from a single vineyard planted in 1906.
The 2022 Malbec Organic is purple in color. The very fragrant, precise nose offers violets, raspberries and plums. A pure, tea-like wine. Good, smooth texture, precise acidity, plenty of juice and a fruity expression. Drinking window: 2023-2030. Score – 92pts Vinous
This is a whole lot of red wine for very little amount of money. This is brought to us by the Pescarmona family who have owned the 120 year Henry Lagarde Estate since 1969 making it one of the oldest wineries in Mendoza and they are certified organic, sustainably farming all the way back to 1906. Argentina has now proven itself for making some of the greatest big reds in the world and they can do so at prices way below other countries. This is a great example, the 2022 Henry Lagarge Malbec Organic is one of the best big reds at our price we have seen all year. The vines come come a vineyard called ‘Mayor Drummond’ that was planted over 100 years ago. Old vines make the best red wine. The wine is full and rich with suprb concentration but it still mantains the excellent balance that Lagarde is famous for and why they get such huge scores. When did you last see a big red get 92 pts by Vinous, made from plus 100 year old vines thats $16.99. I cant remember! You save 43% on this 4th of July steal.
