2022 Les Héritiers Saint Genys Puligny Montrachet ‘Les Levrons’ 750ML
We have one of those wines and you won’t have to spend a ton to experience great 2022 white Burgundy. The 2022 vintage for white Burgundy made awesome wines that are absolutely delicious, impressively concentrated and really well balanced. The vintage got 95pts by Wine Spectator and 96pts by Parker’s WA . Prices just keep going up with demand being insatiable. Today’s wine is the answer, covers all bases except availability we have a tiny amount to offer. The hardest quality to find is Puligny Montrachet however today we have the 2022 Les Héritiers Saint Genys Puligny Montrachet Les Levrons to offer. The wine got an excellent 94pts by Suckling. Come from a single vineyard, ‘Les levrons’ is a tiny 0.18 hectare vineyard that dates back to the 14th century. The vines were planted in 1942 with the old vines adding richness and concentration to this great wine. The vineyard is just below the renowned Premier Cru of Les Refert.
Les Heritiers Saint Genys is a partnership of Patrice du Jeu and his uncle. Patrice was then a restaurateur in Paris, and decided it was time for him to leave the restaurant business and go back to his family roots. In 2013, renowned oenologist Jean-Baptiste Alinc adding his knowledge and knowhow to the estate. They hired famous French winemaker Stephane Derenoncourt to consult, many 100pt Parker wines from all over the world. What they have put together is impressive and the results have been spectacular. I am a huge fan of white Burgundy and I urge you to treat yourself to something special. Please Enjoy!
94pts Suckling Tiny Amounts.
“Clear and creamy with aromas of green apples, lemons, mango stones and fresh apricots. Some blanched almonds. Full-bodied and elegant, with lovely ripeness balanced with fresh minerality. Drink or hold.”
Favorite terroir of Chardonnay with its prestigious neighbors, Puligny-Montrachet is bordered to the north by Meursault and its famous “Charmes” and Chassagne-Montrachet to the south, a village with which it shares the “Montrachet”. This climat takes its name from the 14th century: diminutive of hare, the latter were very abundant in this area
