2022 Miraval Rose
2022 Miraval Rose Sublime bright, translucent color of a very pure pale-pink with shiny reflections. The nose immediately reveals the elegance of Miraval Rosé with its superb, very delicate aromatic bouquet subtly combining fresh fruit, citrus notes and white flowers. The finesse continues on the palate with a full, rich and complex texture, gourmet aromas of white peach and a great tension, perfectly balanced by natural acidity and minerality with saline and limestone notes, specific to the Provençal terroir. The finish is superb, with great length and slightly iodized saline notes. A typical Miraval vintage with signature flavors. Winemaker
A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah, sourced from vines planted on clay-limestone soils, the 2022 Cotes de Provence Rose reveals aromas of red berries, spices, peach, watermelon, spring flowers and pomegranate. Medium-bodied and elegantly oaky with a spicy touch, it’s fresh and fruity with a mouthwatering, elegant finish. This rosé benefits from the expertise of the Perrin family. Parker’s WA 90pts
Through history, Miraval has served as the home of the Orsini Prince of Naples, a recording studio where Pink Floyd (The Wall), Sting, Sade and the Cranberries have all recorded. Miraval’s fame begins with power Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased the property in 2012. They brought in the famous Marc Perrin of Chateau Beaucastel ( four 100pt Parker wines) to craft the supple, silky rose. Miraval then landed on Wine Spectator’s Top 100, a feat few rosés had achieved up until that point and Miraval exploded in popularity. With the divorce of Pitt and Jolie. Jolie sold her ownership to Russian vodka magnate Yuri Shefler, who owns Stoli, and Miraval ownership and control has become part of their messy divorce and lawsuits.
The Miraval Rose has become the most popular premium rose in the world. Through all the trials and tribulations of the winery, the constant has been the Perrin family managing the vineyards and making the wine, maintaining the great quality of the wine and what’s in the bottle.
A great example is the 2022 Miraval Rose which we have for you at a great savings of 34% down to $18.99 per bottle. Planted in protective terraced plots at around 1,150 feet in elevation, surrounded by oaks and garrigue, few rosés benefit from this kind of altitude and the dramatic diurnal temperature swing that comes with it. The soils are rich in clay, chalk, and the limestone that delivers a prodigious mineral vein. Miraval has shattered the rosé-tinted glass ceiling and distinguished itself as a world class wine. The nose is brimming with notes of fresh strawberries, white flowers, peaches and lemon zest. On the palate it is dry and loaded with refreshing red fruit flavors, a dash of salinity and mineral backbone. A Rose Superstar at a great price!
