One of the finest wine producers in Rioja is Bodegas Ugalde. It is considered a reference point for the wines from this great region. Ugalde was established by Felipe Ugaldi in 1882 in Haro in Rioja, also known as “the golden mile” of Rioja. Little did he know how important his Winery would become. Today’s wine comes from the world-famous Sierra Cantabria, average age of vines is 50 years of age and it comes from the great 2016 vintage, considered one of the finest in the last 25 years and received 95pts by Parker for the vintage. The 2016 Ugalde Rioja Reserva received a huge 97pts by Decanter and was recognized as one of the “Top 10 best Riojas of 2020” by The Drinks Business, a leading trade publication.
