A sophisticated expression of Burgundy’s celebrated Côte de Beaune, Boussey Meursault Vieilles Vignes 2022 is crafted from carefully tended old vines that bring exceptional concentration, depth, and character to the wine. This elegant vintage beautifully balances the richness traditionally associated with Meursault with vibrant acidity and refined minerality, resulting in a Chardonnay of remarkable finesse and terroir-driven complexity.
Brilliant pale gold in color with luminous green reflections, it opens with captivating aromas of ripe pear, white peach, green apple, and lemon zest, beautifully layered with notes of acacia blossom, honeysuckle, toasted almonds, fresh butter, and delicate flinty minerality. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a rich yet silky texture, revealing expressive flavors of orchard fruits, citrus curd, ripe peach, baked apple, and subtle hints of lemon. Bright acidity provides freshness and precision, while the old-vine fruit contributes impressive concentration and depth. Gentle creamy and nutty nuances add complexity, complemented by a refined mineral backbone that keeps the wine focused and elegant.
The finish is long, graceful, and beautifully persistent, leaving lingering notes of citrus, white peach, toasted hazelnut, floral nuances, and delicate mineral undertones that reflect the classic character of Meursault and the depth of old-vine Chardonnay.
Food Pairing: Pairs exceptionally well with lobster, scallops, roasted turbot, grilled prawns, creamy poultry, mushroom dishes, truffle preparations, soft cheeses, and refined French cuisine.
Serving Suggestion: Best served chilled at 10–12°C. Allow the wine to breathe for 10–15 minutes before serving to fully reveal its expressive aromas, creamy texture, and layered mineral complexity.
