2020 Clos de Napa Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML This Cab has an opaque, glass-staining purple color and shows aromas of sweet fruits, black cherry, blackberries, licorice and graphite. The  mouthfeel however is soft  with  silky  tannins. More cherry and dark berry notes mingle with minerals and toasty oak. The finish is long and satisfying. The density and concentration suggests a long age-ability, continuing to deliver rich, complex flavors for many years to come. Sadly it’s limited but right now the price is right so grab it while you can.

Black cherries, currants and black raspberries with sweet spices and crushed walnut. Full-bodied with compact, silky tannins and sleek, seamless texture. Lingering and dark-fruited. JS

This Cabernet blew me away for the money. Once in a while I just taste a wine and I say to myself damn that’s good for the money. That’s what happened when I tasted this Cabernet. It absolutely rocks for the money. I have tasted $100 bottle of Napa Cab that are not nearly as good as this wine. This tastes expensive with that pedigreed bouquet of glorious black fruit and the perfect amount of small French oak. The palate is rich and refined with awesome fruit, superbly rich but not clawing, velvety smooth with tannins that tickle. The wine is brought to us by Trevor Sheehan who is a master at finding small lots of unused juice from some of the very finest Wineries, buying it out and bottling it himself. I do know that this Winery where this was sourced from sells Cabs for $200 a bottle. His wines are normally always great value for money but he has out done himself with 2020 Clos de Napa Cabernet. Buy a case, open a bottle and pour a glass …… instant cabernet heaven at a tremendous price!!
