Red Wine from South Australia, Australia
Quite expressive and exotic, with red plums, blackberries and iodine, as well as dried herbs and nori, quite fragrant spices and currants. The palate has a sleek, dense and long feel, with impressive fruit intensity, delivered in such contained and impressively composed style. This has such length and intensity with a silky texture. Old vines underpin the style here. Drink over the next decade or more. 96pts Suckling
The Dead Arm Shiraz is an absolute dream. Decant now for a bold, unforgettable experience or cellar for a decade to witness its full evolution.
“Dead Arm” is a vine disease that randomly affects vineyards all over the world and causes one of the vines ‘arms’ to become dead wood. More often than not, those vines are ripped out and the vineyard is replanted. Needless to say, yields are low. But quality is through the roof.
