Château Olivier is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux, with a history dating back to the 12th century. Secluded amidst acres of forests, it features a genuine castle with a moat. The Black Prince, the eldest son of King Edward III, is said to have loved the property for its hunting grounds. The Bethmann family acquired the estate in 1867 and continues to run it today, under owner Alexander de Bethmann and winemaker Laurent Lebrun.
