This is one of the real deal hardcore Napa Cabs that’s under fifty. In the same vein as Frank Family or Vineyard 29 Cru. Hard core blue chip, great winemakers, a proven winner that absolutely nails it for what’s in the bottle at the price. We agree with Jeb Dunnuck that the 2019 Hoopes Cabernet is a stunning value for Napa Cab. The wine is partly sourced from Hoope’s estate 10-acre estate vineyard in Oakville that neighbors the World famous, 100pt, $300 to $700 Cab vineyard: Beckstoffer To-Kalon. 2019 is also a great Napa vintage, 97pts by Wine Spectator and Parker’s WA called ‘extraordinary’. The wine is made by the great Aaron Pott. Worked for legends John Kongsgaard and Michel Rolland in Napa. Was winemaker at Quintessa where he still consults, also Fisher and Blackbird. Other neighbors include Cardinale and Paradigm. This is the home to the multi- hundred-dollar Napa Cab and that’s why this wine, under fifty, is so popular. One of the all-time great Napa Cabs at the price!
