Jehan Emonin Meursault 1er Charmes 2022

There are three great Premier Cru Vineyards in Meursault that in the hands of great winemakers make white Burgundy that rival the great Grand Cru Vineyards of Montrachet. They get gobbled up on release and are considered the great insider buys. The three vineyards are Charnes, Genevrieres and Perrieres. Today I bring you a great wine from Charmes that comes from the superb 2022 vintage for white Burgundy, 95pts Wine Spectator and 96pts Parker’s WA for the vintage. The wine is the 2022 Jehan Emonin Meursault Premier Cru Charmes.  Now what many people don’t know is that the wine is made the great Vincent Bouzereau one of the finest winemakers in Meursault. Many top winemakers in Burgundy make wine under different labels. Emonin is Bouzereau’s ancestral name. This is the same wine as Bouzereau’s Charmes Meursault. I have tiny amounts of this great wine to offer, a true great expression of spectacular white Burgundy!
