This practice was widely common in Champagne in the early days of Champagne – predating the “Grower Champagne” movement that we see today. Robert de Pampignac is more than just a smartly priced Champagne, it’s a super-yummy smartly priced Champagne! A Pinot Noir and Meunier dominant cuvee with a pale-yellow color. An aromatic nose of lemon and citrus fruit. Beautiful vivacity on the palate, a finish on chalk, and a nicebalance.  With yellow apple, lemon peel, yellow plum puree, strawberry shortcake, freeze-dried pear, baked bread, cherry essence and chalk – this wine finishes nice & clean.
