This wine always performs brilliantly in great vintages and offers great value when compared to the $200 to $500 price for Napa Cabs of similar ilk. 2018 as a vintage got huge 96pts by Parker’s WA and the 2018 Altamura Cabernet got a huge 96pts by Parker’s WA. Altamura was established by Frank and Karen Altamura in 1985 and has gone from strengths to strengths. Frank Altamura’s passion for detail is clearly defined by his richly textured, highly collectable 2018 Altamura Cabernet Sauvignon. Their vineyards are both valley floor and hillside. Specific clones were selected depending on, to maximize the finest facets of both. The wine shows the best of both worlds and reminds of a cross between the Rutherford Bench on the valley floor and Howell Mountain. Bottom line this wines absolutely rocks at a fraction of the price of others.
