Chateau Reysson dates back as far as the Middle-Age. Located at the summit of a magnificent plateau the vineyard is planted on limestone-clay and limestone rock (fossilized shells) which is particularly suited to cultivating Merlot. Since 2001 Dourthe has undertaken a large-scale quality enhancement program including yield control intensification of green harvesting and complete renovation of the winery facilities. Chateau Reysson now has the distinction of being a shining example of high quality accessible Haut-Medoc Cru Bourgeois wines._x000D_

Aging: 12 months in oak barrels 33% new oak_x000D_
Aromatics: Black cherries blackberries and strawberries together with a hint of spice_x000D_
Palate: Full bodied concentrated generous and structured. Well integrated tannins. The intense flavours are joined by lovely well-integrated oak. The freshness is present right through to the final note & perfectly encapsulates the typical character of Merlot cultivated on Reysson’s clay-limestone soils.
