Red Wine Cabernet Napa California
Great Vintage 100pt Winemaker Totally Under Valued Hard Core Napa Cab
This is the hottest Napa Cab out there; everybody wants this wine. It has already sold out in most parts of the country. Our patrons can’t get enough of this wine. The wine is brought to us by Jean Claude Boisset, superstar vintner who hails from Burgundy. Boisset fell in love with Napa, purchased the famous Napa Cab producer Raymond, now making the best Cabs it has made in years. He loves Napa so much, he lives in Robert Mondavi’s former Napa Valley home. Today’s wine was specifically made to serve at Boisset’s tasting rooms in Napa, selling for $85 a bottle. He hired the legendary Philippe Melka (many hundred point Napa Cabs at Lail, Hundred Acre and Adamvs) along with Raymonds winemaker Stephanie Putnam to make the wine. Boisset’s idea behind the wine was to give visitors a Napa a special Cabernet, “We want to give them something they’ll never forget.” This is the third vintage of the wine and the 1881 Napa Cabernet 2023 is the finest yet. As good as a $90 Napa Cab, from the all-time great 2023 Napa Cab vintage, being hailed as the ‘vintage of a lifetime’. We have the wine down to $29.99! The name of the wine comes from the year the Oakville Grocery was founded a store that happens to be California’s longest continuously operating grocery and sits adjacent to the Victorian house built in 1874 where Boisset holds tastings for Cab lovers and where this wine is served. This is a must buy for Napa Cab lovers while supplies last.
This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards spanning the picturesque landscapes of Napa Valley, where the warmth of hillside vineyards and the richness of valley floor fruit converge to craft a wine that celebrates the region’s varied terroir. Aromas elegantly rise from the glass, revealing notes of lively red and black currants, delicate hints of leather, cedar, and spice, lending the wine an enchanting earthy charm. The palate unfolds with a burst of flavors, dominated by juicy blackberry and currant, accompanied by a subtle layer of indulgent brown sugar. The lingering finish is both prolonged and silky, balanced by luxurious, smooth tannins.
