98pt Vintage, 2016’s Are in Huge Demand and Dwindling Supply!
The 2016 Taraval Napa Cab offers all the trappings of pedigreed Napa vineyards in a stellar vintage, balanced with a Bordeaux like aptitude and gait. It is supported by a firm and elegant core of brambly black fruit: black cherries, cassis, and bitter plumb accompanied by subtle nuances of tobacco, crushed leaves, and roasted herbs. Any influence of cooperage takes the backseat—and the resulting wine is a class act: layered, textured, and aromatic.
One Shot Deal, 98pt Vintage Napa Cabernet
Once You Taste It, It Will Draw You In! We Kept Going Back for Another Sip!
This Will Be Your Last Chance On This Great Wine
2016 for Napa was an all time great vintage, receiving 98 points from Robert Parker, tied with 2013 as the highest rating he has ever given the region. The last of the 2013’s have been sold, with 2016 dwindling fast in supply with a huge consumer demand. We are on a full court press to grab only the best. Today’s wine, the Taraval 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon simply found us in the right place at the right time.
We discovered this wine tucked away in the back of a local warehouse. It was a bottling that was made as a private label for one of the metro area’s top retail groups, but because of the current retail climate the deal fell through. We were invited to pop a bottle open right there on the floor and what we tasted absolutely floored us. This is a Napa Cabernet value that draws you in and seduces you sip after sip. Many Napa values we taste are great, but leave us wanting a little more. This wine at the price overdelivers more than we could have ever expected. Hardcore Napa fruit with a Bordelaise strut. This is not your average, over extracted California fruit bomb. We grabbed the entire palate, and the wine will sell out. This is a one shot deal. If you love Napa Cabernet, back up the truck.
