The Grand Cru Vineyards of Montrachet make up the finest and most expensive white wines in the worls.Just above these great vineyards is the town of Saint Aubin in the heart of Cote de Beaune. Insiders know that the white Burgundies from St Aubin when carefully selected make up the finest values to be had in all of Burgundy. One of the finest producers is Domaine Patrick Miolane. An estate that keeps providing wine lovers with splendid wines that offer tremendous value for the money.
Domaine Patrick Miolane has been making wines for multiple generations. Patrick took over the Domaine in 1983, when he succeeded his father and is now the 5th generation winemaker. The estate comprises only of 9 hectares of vines, dedicated to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with Patrick’s white wines being the ones that really excel. The Domaine sits at an enviable location with Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet as neighbor. Patrick makes boutique wines that because of the ultra-low production very little makes it to the US. Since 2005, Barbara, Patrick’s daughter helps him with the winemaking. Barbara’s experience comes from working the harvest at renowned houses in Chassagne-Montrachet (Jean- Noel Gagnard and Chateau de Chassagne- Montrachet) and the Loire Valley.
