2021 Artuke Paso Las Manas Rioja Their grow is based on recuperating abandoned vineyards, and making new single vineyard wines. Impressive keeping in mind the age of the vineyard. All of their plots are organic and head-pruned in the traditional way, but vines in Paso Las Mañas had to be trained because the wind, which blows relentlessly, ruined 300 plants in the second year.

Today the winery is run by brothers Arturo and Kike Miguel. The winery’s name “Artuke” is a blended version of the brothers’ names. Arturo Miguel is the winemaker and he has become an important and influential force in Rioja, the country’s most historically famous region.
