2020 CHATEAU LEOUBE LE SECRET DE LEOUBE “750ML”
Chateau Leoube Le Secret de Leoube 2020 Salmon-hued rose is well balanced and has an intense nose of citrus and minerality. Our wine is crafted primarily from Grenache (40%) & Cinsault (40%), which lend red fruit charm and herbal freshness, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), which adds warmth and spicy depth. The result is a happy mix of complexity and joyful exuberance. The vines are 30 years old and the nose offers a bouquet of subtle flavors and the palate is elegant and full!
This is the Rose that everyone wants, what we refer to as “Pink Gold,” and what the rich and famous will be drinking this Summer along the French Riviera. We have received an early allocation and the moment you finish reading this email, the wine will be sold out. If you love Rose, there are two names you may know: Domaine Ott and Domaine Tempier. These are the benchmark producers of Rose that are sought after and consumed more than any other. There is a third name to be added to that list that you may not have heard before: Chateau Leoube. The vineyards of Chateau Léoube make up some of the most expensive real estate in the world. The vineyards are ocean front property (see picture) on one side is a nature reserve and on the other side of the most sought after beach front property on the planet. The French President summers a few doors down and the famous Clos Mireille vineyard of Domaine Ott sits right next door.
Léoube is owned by British industrialist Lord Anthony Bamford, who created today’s offer exclusively for his wife that was poured directly out of the tasting room. It’s gorgeous etched bottling immediately drew the attention of his guests, and after years of persistence, Bamford decided to bottle it for the locals. Chateau Leoube 2020 “Le Secret de Leoube” is not only a work of art outside the bottle, but on the inside as well. This is one of the greatest roses you will ever taste and immediately sells out the moment we get our hands on it. Intoxicating aromatics, fresh, vibrant fruit, and the most gorgeously tapered backend.
Bamford managed to hire Provence’s maestro of Rose, the famous Romaine Ott, to make all of his wine. If that name sounds familiar, it should. He is the ex-winemaker of the famous Domaine Ott, the benchmark of Rose. Romaine had been quietly making wine for the Bamfords for years, and once Domaine Ott was sold, he started making wine exclusively for Chateau Leoube. The young man is a genius, innovative and charismatic and anything he touches turns into a masterpiece. Only 100 Cases are made of this a year and we sell out overnight. Now is the time to stock up for the summer! Cheers!
