Sparkling Wine from Champagne, France
The Charles de Cazanove brand is one of the oldest in the Champagne region. It was started in 1811, by Charles Gabriel De Cazanove, who came from a long line of master glassmakers. Their Champagne was enjoyed by European politicians and diplomats, as well as many French presidents. In 1983, leading winemaker, Christophe Rapeneau, joined Charles De Cazanove and set up and started the trajectory of the great quality Champagne they make today. This is definitely one of the great values coming out of Champagne. Has a lovely salmon-pink color and delicious candied fruit and rose petal aromas. There is volume, fullness and strength on the palate, with good substance. Full-bodied but nicely balanced, this wine will make a great aperitif or accompany a wide range of meals. A delicious wine. This rich, round rosé is a truly affordable luxury. Although thus far off the radar of wine critics, it is a standout wine from de Cazanove house, with its lovely strawberry color and aromas. Full-bodied but nicely balanced, this wine will make a great aperitif or accompany a wide range of meals. A great value for this type of quality. Pair it with fresh salmon sashimi.
