Aluvia Cabernet Franc 2022

I am getting more and more calls for Cabernet Franc and this wine absolutely blew. Offers far more bang for your buck than Cab Sauv. and when made  the same way becomes a downright bargain.  Today’s wine is spectacular. The wine comes from what many believe is the finest sub-zone in all of Mendoza in Argentina, Gualtallary.  The Winery called Aluvia focuses making wines from specific, iconic 2.4 hectare site  within Gualtallary. The sites terroir is unique because of the Las Tunas River.  Thousands of years ago, the river shifted its course due to the rise of the Monasterio hill, unveiling a mosaic of exceptional micro terroirs—each shaped by varying degrees of limestone, rocks, and soil aging. This natural tapestry gives rise to a distinct site that makes some of the finest wine in Mendoza. All the wines from Aluvia are spectacular and today I bring you the Aluvia Cabernet Franc 2022, an absolutely stunning Cabernet Franc, under 25. I have had many Cab Francs from Napa in the $80 to $100 range that are not as good as this wine. The wine also got huge press 93pts Parker’s WA, 94pts Tim Atkins and 94pts Suckling.
