Big Salt has a cult following in the PNW – and it’s easy to see why. This wine is what the winemaker calls ‘a composition of what Oregon has to offer, and is a true reflection of the vintage.” It is composed of fruit from all over Oregon – this wine is 46% Riesling
28% Gewurz, 18% Early Muscat, 6% Pinot Blanc, 1% Pinot Gris & 1% others varietals. All the fruit is treated differently during the crush, before fermenting in the tank all together. All of that to say, this wine is like a day on a beach. Wine makers note that the wine is ” dry, aromatic and zippy. Salty lemon, ginger and aloe vera leap out of the glass. A short skin contact gives the palate textural complexity.”
