With the takeover of the Winery in 2012 by Achille Boroli, he changed the wineries focus to making Barolo of the highest possible quality. He has succeeded, only 4 to 6 bunched are allowed to grow on each vine resulting in wine of great concentration and quality.  The 2019 Boroli Barolo ‘Brunella’ is the flagship wine of the Boroli line-up. Brunella is a prestigious Cru of Barolo exclusively owned by the Boroli family. The vineyard is located in the territory of Castiglione Falletto, is part of the Villero cru,  situated in the land at the westernmost point of the ridge facing the town. The name “Brunella” is unique and has identified this place for over 450 years. Specific barrels are selected by the winemaker, Achille Boroli to go into this wine. 2019 is a great vintage for Barolo, receiving 97 pts by Wine Spectator and 96pts by Parker’s WA, described as extraordinary, great for the cellar. Aged two years in small French oak. The wine is now starting to show itself and age superbly in any cellar.
