The Charles de Cazanove brand is one of the oldest in the Champagne region. It was started in 1811, by Charles Gabriel De Cazanove, who came from a long line of master glassmakers. Their Champagne was enjoyed by European politicians and diplomats, as well as many French presidents. In 1983, leading winemaker, Christophe Rapeneau, joined Charles De Cazanove and set up and started the trajectory of the great quality Champagne they make today. This is definitely one of the great values coming out of Champagne. Tête de cuvée is a French term that can be loosely translated as top batch or top blend.
