Red Wine from California, United States
Perfection from Napa with a 30% savings from the great 2019 vintage made by hard core red wine experts. Pym-Rae is owned by the Tesseron family, the visionary family behind Bordeaux’s Grand Cru Classé Château Pontet-Canet. Made from some of the finest high altitude terroir on Mt Veeder which was formerly owned comedic genius Robin Williams. Pym-Rae is the realization of a dream for the Tesseron family, owners of Bordeaux’s esteemed Château Pontet-Canet—a family seeking to apply their unique biodynamic philosophy to an exceptional Napa Valley terroir. In 2016, they acquired Villa Sorriso, the former property of actor Robin Williams, and chose to honor its touching story by naming the wine with his children’s middle names: Pym and Rae. This singular estate is located in Mount Veeder, chosen for its high-altitude (1,800 feet), cool conditions, and sedimentary soils with historic marine deposits—an “island of nature” that offers a challenging but profoundly rewarding winegrowing environment for mature Bordeaux varieties. Made with help of legendary Michel Rolland, the Tesseron Estate Pym-Rae 2019 is 80% Cabernet with some Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The wine was given the perfect 100pts by Lisa Perrotti Brown of The Wine Independant. Lisa Perrotti-Brown worked for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate for 13 years, from 2008 to 2021. She began her tenure in 2008 and became Editor-in-Chief in 2013, leaving in December 2021 to co-found The Wine Independent. Huge press from other leading publication with Brown stating, “This 2019 is the vinous definition of opulence.” We have a one time 30% savings on this great wine. Stunning liquid art for the those that appreciate and collect the best.
