This is one of the greatest Cabernet’s in the world. The wine rivals the greatest First Growth Bordeaux’s and Cult Napa Cabs on the planet. Quilceda Creek is a small, family owned and run winery in Snohomish, Washington. It has been owned by the Golitzin family since 1978. Alex Golitzin’s late uncle is winemaking Napa Cabernet legend André Tchelistcheff. Current winemaker is son Paul Golitzin who in the last 15 years of making the wine has amassed Nine 100pt scores for this wine including four 100pt scores by Parker.

There are not many domestic wines that have achieved the ultimate critical pedigree of topping both First Growth Bordeaux and Napa Cults. Robert Parker himself would use Quilceda Creek as a ringer in blind tastings against the greatest wines in the world, and this Washington State stunner topped them all. The wine has the depth, structure and style that echo some of the greats like Chateau Margaux and Lafite. What’s amazing about this wine is how the Golitzin family has kept the price on release constant when we look at the huge increases in price of the Cults and the First Growth. Again, as good as Cabernet gets. We have just a small allocation of the 2021 Quilceda Creek Cabernet that will be snapped by wine lovers and collectors alike. The flagship 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (90% from Champoux Vineyard and 10% from Mach One Vineyard) raised all in new barrels. It’s slightly deeper hued than the CVR and has a stunning nose of blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, toasted spices, and graphite with a beautiful varietal, herbal undertone that comes through with time in the glass.
