Red currant and cherry fruit, savory herbs, slight note of straw in the nose. Lots of fruit on the palate, cherry, and currant, tree bark flavors fashioned in an easy, bright, fresh wine; good+ length with soil complexity on the finish. A real overachiever!
Impressive, deep ruby-colored red with initial aromas of spiced cherry, forest, delicate flowers, and minerality. The mouthfeel is soft and texturally pleasing, with expanded flavors of wild strawberry and black cherry, complicated by tree bark, vanilla, and baking spice dust notes. Harvested from 40-year-old vines, this savory and juicy Pinot is absurdly priced for an estate-grown Burgundy of this caliber.
