Only Two Barrels, About 50 Cases Made
Owned by the Peculier Family of Burgundy who are a wealthy real estate family. Over the years, the family has grabbed vineyards every time it was made possible, because this is their home and this is the legacy they wanted to pass on to us, to the children, to the children of our children, and so on. With the help of a fellow friend a vigneron and winemaker in Saint-Aubin, we’ve historically made these wines for mostly ourselves. And that’s a fact, for 30 years we have kept the production to ourselves, as the family beverage at weddings, anniversaries, Easter, end of year celebrations or simple gatherings. Over the years, there’s been more and more vineyards, and eventually more wine that they could consume within our ranks! Our idea is simple: share these wines beyond our ranks and develop greater friendships by offering Burgundy wines the way it used to, simply and casually – on a First come First served basis – at a decent price, so you can enjoy them the way that they do: for your everyday or your celebrations! You may not come across us on social networks, we like staying under the radar. If you taste our wines, that means you’re a friend of a friend, an added value to our family! The family comes from the town of Brully and hence the name and we are very lucky to have a tiny allocation of their Chassagne Montrcahet to share with you. Chassagne Montrachet is one of the very finest expressions of Chardonnay. The wine is a blend of 6 tiny plots : Sur Matronge, Dessous les Mues, Les Chênes (besides La Maltroie 1er Cru), Le Poirier du Clos, Les Concis des Champs and Les Lombardes.
Renowned for its elegant and rich character. It features a pale yellow to golden hue, with aromas of ripe fruits like peach and apricot, complemented by floral notes, honeysuckle, and subtle hints of oak or almond. The palate is medium-bodied, with a generous and rounded mouthfeel, characterized by a balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality. This wine will age superbly in the Cellar.
