Mazzei is one of the most famous wine families in Italy making some of the desired wines in the world. This wine is named after Philip Mazzei who was a friend of our founding fathers: Franklin, Adams, Washington, and Jefferson. Philip inspired Jefferson with the idea that “All men are by nature equally free and independent. Such equality is necessary in order to create a free government”. John F. Kennedy himself acknowledges that “The great doctrine ‘All men are created equal’, incorporated in the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson, was paraphrased from the writings of Filippo Mazzei, an Italian patriot and dear friend of Jefferson”.

In the glass, the wine reveals a deep, dark ruby ​​color and an intense, broad aromatic profile with initial notes of raspberry and cherry, followed by hints of spice and bell pepper. On the palate, it is rich and smooth, complex and full-bodied. It is concentrated and ripe with firm yet well-integrated tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
An intense bouquet of blueberry and black cassis, followed by a hint of pepper, as well as saddle leather and sealing wax. Soft and supple on the palate, with fine-grained tannins and supportive acidity, leading into a long finish with notes of dark chocolate.
